This Privacy Policy describes how AI Calorie Tracker ("the App", "we", "us") handles information when you use our mobile application. We are committed to protecting your privacy and respecting your data.

1. Information We Collect

AI Calorie Tracker is designed to work fully offline and locally on your device. We do not collect, store, or share any personal information on external servers.

The data you enter in the App (such as your name, age, height, weight, gender, activity level, goals, and meal logs) is stored exclusively on your device and is never transmitted to us or any third party.

2. Permissions We Use

The App requests the following permissions to provide its features:

• Camera: Used only when you choose to scan a product barcode. The camera is never used in the background. No images are stored or transmitted.
• Internet: Used only to query the public Open Food Facts database when you scan a product barcode, in order to retrieve nutritional information about the scanned item.
• Notifications: Used to send you optional daily reminders about logging your meals. You can enable, disable, or change the time of these reminders at any time in the app settings.
• Photo / Media access: Used only if you choose to set a profile picture from your device's gallery. Photos are stored locally on your device.

3. Third-Party Services

When you use the barcode scanning feature, the App sends the scanned barcode number to the public Open Food Facts database to retrieve product information. No personal data about you is sent — only the barcode number itself.

Open Food Facts is a free, open, collaborative food product database. You can review their privacy practices on their official website.

4. Data Storage

All your personal data, meal logs, profile information, and preferences are stored locally on your device using the operating system's standard storage mechanisms (SQLite database and Shared Preferences). This data never leaves your device.

If you uninstall the App, all locally stored data will be permanently deleted from your device.

5. Data Sharing

We do not sell, trade, or share any personal information. Since we do not collect data, there is nothing to share with third parties, advertisers, or analytics services.

6. Children's Privacy

The App is intended for users aged 13 and over. We do not knowingly collect any information from children under 13.

7. Your Rights

Since all your data is stored locally on your device, you have full control over it at all times. You can:

• Modify your profile and preferences at any time in the app
• Delete individual meals or your entire history from the app
• Clear all data using the "Clear Data" option in Settings
• Uninstall the App to permanently remove all stored data

8. Security

Your data is protected by your device's built-in security features. We strongly recommend keeping your device's operating system up to date and using a screen lock to protect your information.

9. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected on this page with an updated "Last updated" date. Please review this policy periodically.
